I'm trying to get integer of free disk space in Batch file. This is a my (very) simple code. @echo off wmic logicaldisk get freespace >>freespace.log exit But.
I have just got a new laptop with Windows 7 enterprise. On my previous XP pro machine, I had a batch file to check the disk space of all our servers. It runs PSinfo, finds the server names from a csv file, queries the server and writes the result to another csv file. This runs fine on XP but on Win7, as soon as it it connects to the remote server, it instantly comes back as access denied.
PSinfo runs okay when querying the local drive and can write this information to the csv so it isn't a problem with writing the results or running the program itself. I have run the batch file as administrator, unblocked the program in it's properties (as it came from my previous computer), allowed the program through the firewall (both inbound and out). The batch file prompts for the domain admin password so that it has permission to access the remote server, but it seems as though something in Win7 is preventing these credentials from being passed on, as the server rejects the connection before PSinfo even has a chance to query it.
